Apostille & Consular Legalization
Since China joined the Hague Convention in 2023, documents used between Hague member states only require an Apostille, eliminating the need for consular legalization and greatly simplifying the process.
Apostille (New Rules)
For use between Hague member states: Notarization → Government Apostille. Simple process, fast turnaround.
Traditional Consular Legalization
For non-Hague member states: Notarization → Ministry of Foreign Affairs → Consular legalization. Longer processing time.
